Similarities Between Zionism and Hindutva

Establishing a Zionist State Around Mount Zion and the Creation of Akhand Bharat, Promise in Religious Scriptures: The Jews claim that their holy book, the Torah, designates Mount Zion in Palestine as the promised land given to them by the Creator. Hence, they assert that it must remain under their control, with a Jewish state, Israel, established around it. Supporters of this idea are known as Zionist Jews.

This assertion is based on verses such as: Torah (Genesis 15:18-21): "On that day, the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, 'To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates—the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.'"

Torah (Deuteronomy 7:1-2): "When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out many nations before you—the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you—and when the Lord your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them and show them no mercy."

Zionists interpret these verses as divine commands to reclaim the "Promised Land."

Similarly, Hindus claim that their religious scriptures reference the ancient "Mahabharat," which they must re-establish. They refer to this territory as "Akhand Bharat" or "Undivided India." Like the Zionists, Hindus are actively working toward the realization of this undivided or united land.

This assertion is based on verses such as: Mahabharata (Sabha Parva 14.2): "This earth, bound by the seas, was given to Emperor Bharata, and from him, it came to be called Bharatavarsha." (समुद्रपर्यन्ता पृथ्वी भारतस्य चक्रिणः)

Hindutva proponents interpret "Bharatavarsha" as encompassing the entire Indian subcontinent, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka.

Vishnu Purana (2.3.1): "The country that lies north of the ocean and south of the snowy mountains is called Bharatam; there dwell the descendants of Bharata." (उत्तरं यत्समुद्रस्य हिमाद्रेश्चैव दक्षिणम् वर्षं तद्भारतं नाम भारती यत्र संततिः)

Based on this, Hindutva ideologues claim that reuniting these regions under a singular political and cultural identity is their divine duty.

Land Appropriation: For centuries, Jews gradually purchased land from impoverished Palestinian farmers, increasing their influence. Many believe the Jews sought refuge in Palestine only after World War II. However, the war was merely a pretext; the plan to seize Mount Zion was a longstanding one. For generations, Jews had worked to establish dominance in Palestine through various means.

In the case of Akhand Bharat, India is already under Hindutva dominance, but the process of annexing other countries not yet part of India continues. To include Bangladesh in Akhand Bharat, Hindu-majority lands in Bangladesh must be appropriated. Tools like the Vested Property Act and Debottar (endowment) Property Laws have been instrumental for Hindus in seizing land. When wars decide territorial ownership, no country returns seized land—India hasn’t either. However, under Sheikh Hasina’s leadership, laws were enacted to restore Vested and Debottar properties, enabling Hindus to reclaim lands lost in 1947. As a result, Hindus now claim nearly half of Bangladesh’s land as their property.

Recently, during a conference led by ISKCON's Chinmoy Brahmachari in Chattogram, one of the major demands was implementing these laws. Once control over the land is established, integrating it into Akhand Bharat becomes much easier. Chinmoy Brahmachari has openly stated, "We are the sons of undivided India's soil" (BDNews24, September 7, 2024). If this narrative is globally recognized, Hindus could push for either self-rule or annexation into India.

Victimhood as a Strategy: A key tactic for land seizure is playing the role of a victim. The Jews leveraged the narrative of Hitler's persecution to gain global sympathy, legitimizing their occupation of Palestine. Similarly, Hindus in Bangladesh play the victimhood card as minorities, appealing for sympathy. This tactic exploits the empathy of Bangladeshi Muslims, who are moved by their tears, making them vulnerable.

Hindus often vandalize their own temples and blame Muslims, knowing this triggers Muslims’ softer side. They even take complaints to India for justice. However, India, as a major violator of minority rights, would never be a logical recourse for truly oppressed minorities.

Anti-Semitic Laws and Minority Protection Acts: One of the demands by ISKCON’s Chinmoy Brahmachari is the enactment of a Minority Protection Act in Bangladesh. This is comparable to anti-Semitic laws established by Jews to suppress opponents and consolidate power. Similarly, a Minority Protection Act would position Hindus as a "super-minority" in Bangladesh, using state power to silence Muslims who speak out against their conspiracies.

National Symbols and Colors: Zionist Jews associate the color blue, as represented in the Israeli flag, with their ideology. Similarly, saffron is the symbolic color of Akhand Bharat, prominently used by Hindus.

Religious Bracelets as Symbols of Identity: Jews wear red bracelets, known as Kabbalah, which they believe protect them from enemies. This serves as a marker distinguishing Jews from non-Jews and fosters animosity toward outsiders. Similarly, Hindu men and women wear red threads called Kalawa or Raksha Sutra, which they believe offer protection from enemies. This practice separates Hindus from non-Hindus and fuels communal sentiment. Recently, the prevalence of red threads has increased in Bangladesh, coinciding with a rise in Hindu communalism, indicating a proportional relationship between the two.

In conclusion, the strategies employed by Jews to establish Israel through victimhood, land appropriation, and suppression mirror the tactics Hindus are employing in Bangladesh. As long as Muslims in Bangladesh remain sympathetic toward Hindus, the latter will exploit the opportunity to realize Akhand Bharat. Once achieved, Muslims in Bangladesh may face the same fate as Palestinians under Israeli occupation, including systemic persecution and genocide.
