Brainwashing is a term familiar to many, yet most people lack a clear understanding of its nature, scope, and domain. We often hear phrases like "wielding a sword in an open field," which are easy to comprehend. However, when it comes to "brainwashing," things become more ambiguous, leaving it unclear who is targeting whom in this unrestricted process. In English, this brainwashing technique is known by various terms: brainwash, mind control, ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. Despite the different names, the goal remains the same: to disrupt a target population’s traditional beliefs, culture, and perceptions of behavior, systematically replacing them with new ideologies through deliberate alteration of core values.
This concept is often beyond the reach of the general public, making it difficult to comprehend. Among those skilled in brainwashing techniques, the Jews are considered masters. They possess powerful media outlets, efficient intelligence forces, and various international financial and commercial institutions such as the World Bank, the IMF, and the World Trade Organization.
In general, deep knowledge and practical expertise in brainwashing are dominated by non-Muslim countries. As one saying goes, “It is as easy to mislead short-sighted and unwise Muslim leaders about brainwashing as it is difficult to enlighten them with the truth.”
If a nation’s character can be corrupted, war becomes unnecessary. The latest iteration of this strategy is called the "Battle of the Mind," which our political leaders are seemingly unaware of. Hence, this discussion has been aptly titled "Brainwashing in the Open Field."
Globalization and Its Manifestations
Globalization, celebrated through events like Mother's Day, Father's Day, Labor Day, Valentine's Day, and various sports world cups, is a joyful facade masking intricate plans. For instance, during the FIFA World Cup, people in this country wave thousands more flags for Brazil, Argentina, or Germany than they do on our Independence or Victory Days (March 26 and December 16). If even Americans fail to recognize that globalization is essentially a form of "Judaization," expecting Bangladeshis to understand this seems an almost hopeless task. For any thoughtful patriot, this is a deeply alarming scenario.
Prestigious Awards as Tools of Brainwashing
International awards also play a significant role in the brainwashing process. For example:
- Taslima Nasreen received the Anand Award from Kolkata before being used as a tool for ideological manipulation.
- Salman Rushdie was awarded the Booker Prize before the promotion of The Satanic Verses.
- Nobel Prizes have been awarded with political motives: to the Dalai Lama to pressure China, Aung San Suu Kyi to pressure Myanmar, and "the King of Usury," Yunus, in Bangladesh.
Even before the Soviet Union collapsed, Alexander Solzhenitsyn and Gorbachev received Nobel Prizes, and more recently, the warmonger Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Such patterns suggest a deeper, strategic intent behind these recognitions.
Media, Cyberspace, and Education
The mechanisms of brainwashing include:
- Intelligence agencies
- Print and virtual media (films, TV, cyberspace)
- Internet news portals and blogs
- International chatrooms
- The education system
- The judiciary
- The cultural sector
- Product advertisements
A striking example is the Chinese boy who sold his kidney to buy an iPhone. Propaganda can manipulate individuals to make decisions they would otherwise not consider. For instance, Bangladeshi women, influenced by Indian TV serials, may rush to buy a particular Indian saree, even postponing essential purchases for their children. Similarly, the popularity of the Hindi-dubbed Chinese cartoon "Doraemon" has led children in Bangladesh to adopt Hindi phrases.
India broadcasts over a hundred satellite TV channels promoting themes like "complicated relationships" and "marital infidelity" to Bangladesh. However, Indian authorities have declared Bangladeshi TV channels "haram" (prohibited) in West Bengal. This psychological imbalance warrants serious introspection.
Radicalization and Atheism
The creation of atheists within the Muslim community often begins with the formation of extremist groups. These groups commit atrocities in the name of religion, creating confusion among ordinary Muslims and gradually leading them toward atheism. Groups like Wahhabis, Salafis, La-Madhabi, Ahle Hadith, and JMB, despite their varying names, share a misguided ideology.
Research by Jewish scholars has shown it is easier to radicalize a semi-educated Muslim into fanaticism than to convert them into atheism. An example of ideological warfare includes Norwegian far-right extremist Anders Breivik, who killed 76 innocent people. Meanwhile, another Norwegian blogger, Arind Klakarh, has spread atheistic ideologies under the guise of free expression.
The Education System: A Target of Brainwashing
From the pre-independence period, moral and ethical education has been systematically removed from the curricula in Muslim-majority countries. As a result, students often graduate as ambitious individuals lacking integrity and ethics. Concepts like honesty, patriotism, or integrity are now perceived as outdated. Without an ethically grounded workforce, the long-term sustainability of a nation is compromised.
Conclusion: A Call for Awareness
Countering organized psychological warfare requires institutional effort. Governments, especially in Muslim-majority countries, must develop awareness and strategies to resist ideological attacks. However, most of these governments are not only unaware of the threat but also lack the capacity to respond effectively.
Understanding the mechanisms of brainwashing and psychological warfare is crucial for survival in the modern world. May Almighty Allah guide us and grant us the insight, foresight, and understanding to recognize and counter these threats. Ameen.
